Olympic Dance Workshops for Schools
We have designed a workshop which incorporates an optional opening ceremony to be held during a morning assembly with flag bearers and a video presentation, setting an inspiring tone for the day and engaging pupils with a vibrant introduction to the cultural or thematic focus of the workshop through dance, music, and celebration.

Olympic Dance Workshops
We have designed a workshop which incorporates an optional opening ceremony to be held during a morning assembly with flag bearers and a video presentation.
Our main route will lead us from Great Britain, across to The USA, down to Brazil, Fly to Australia, visit India, next is Greece and then finishing in Paris.
The countries your school can choose from are France, Great Britain, USA, Spain, Ghana, Brazil, Germany, India, Australia, Greece, China and Jamaica. We'll provide the flags for the chosen countries. To add to the day your pupils could wear a colour from the nation they represent.
During the school day the year groups will learn a traditional dance from their chosen country and end in an optional closing ceremony to share the dances they have learnt and to get everybody into the Olympic spirit and also bringing a taste of Paris to your school.

Who is this workshop suitable for?
EYFS/KS1/KS2/KS3/SEND
A great way to start movement coordination, rhythm and of course, having a lot of fun dancing to upbeat music and using props (where applicable) for EYFS children.
As your pupils' key stage increases, so does the duration and pace of the workshop, and we start to include some partner work and more choreography.
Our dance workshops can be delivered within a special educational needs setting, and our dance team works with the pupils' abilities, ensuring all involved learn and feel part of the session. This could, as an example, include focusing on arm movements if your pupils use wheelchairs or incorporating the chairs into the movement.
