Artsmark Dance Workshops for Schools

Dance Days specialise in providing educational dance workshops to schools and are working in partnership with Artsmark and the Arts Council to help schools who are on their Artsmark Award journey.

Regardless of the award level your school is aiming for, we can help your school bring learning to life through dance.

How can we help?

By providing high quality dance workshops for schools, and offering a wide range of dance styles that link directly to the school curriculum we can engage with many pupils and enrich their learning.

You can find our more about Dance Days and our teaching experience on our about us page. All of our dance workshop styles can be used towards your Artsmark Award.

We've listed some of our most popular styles:

Our events calendar may also help when deciding what time of year you would like your workshops.

Artsmark Award Levels

Here are some examples of how we can help based on the award level you are aiming for.

Silver Artsmark Award - we can provide a one off dance workshop in your school as part of a wider Arts elevation, this could be a topic linking to the curriculum or as part of your P.E lesson.

Gold Artsmark Award - working together over a number of terms, your school could experience a wider selection of our dance workshops covering many styles and building a showcase so your pupils can share their learning.

Platinum Artsmark Award - develop a strategic partnership with Dance Days. This would include multiple visits from the team, over a longer period of time covering various styles and giving pupils the chance to provide feedback, and creating a presentation of their work. This also enables key members of staff to help learn, build and deliver a workshop (with our guidance) as part of their Continued Professional Development.

Our Artsmarks packages can be tailored to your schools needs and adapted based on the number of visits you require.

If you would like Dance Days to help with your Artsmark Award, you can get in touch with us via our contact us page.

Who is this workshop suitable for?

EYFS/KS1/KS2/SEND

A great way to start movement coordination, rhythm and of course, having a lot of fun dancing to upbeat music and using props (where applicable) for EYFS children.

As your pupils' key stage increases, so does the duration and pace of the workshop, and we start to include some partner work and more choreography.
Our dance workshops can be delivered within a special educational needs setting, and our dance team works with the pupils' abilities, ensuring all involved learn and feel part of the session. This could, as an example, include focusing on arm movements if your pupils use wheelchairs or incorporating the chairs into the movement.
